For Labor Day weekend, Mark and I drove out to Chicago with some of our friends. It started off pretty shaky, we didn't get there until 1:30 a.m. and the room they gave us only had a king sized bed for two couples. Problem! We sorted things out and the rest of the trip was very delightful. The hotel was a little crazy it was definitely a party hotel and located directly next to Toby Keith's: I Love This Bar, that really was the name of the bar. We got to see some interesting people, mostly the frat and sorority types. On Saturday Mark got to accomplish one of his greatest dreams, we went to watch the Cubs play ball at Wrigley Field. I have never seen his face light up like it did when he caught a glimpse of the Stadium. I don't even think his face was beaming that much on our wedding day, guess I know where I lay in comparison to the Cubbies:) Of course the Cubs got beat, but it was all about the atmosphere. We did a little shopping and went to the Navy Pier. The best part of the entire trip was the Science and Industry Museum, we will be going back there. There was an entire German Submarine inside of the building. It had a bunch of things that you wouldn't see or don't know much about, but were intriguing to learn about. Next time I think we will do some sort of tour and will go to the top of the sears tower. We came back pretty happy and the Chicago trip was a success!
Mark Happy to be at the game!
Fun time at the Chicago Navy Pier!
Went on the Ferris Wheel later that night.
Interesting finds at the Science and Industry Museum.
Mark and his U-505 German Submarine, coolest part of the Museum! These pictures don't do it justice, it was huge.
Toys 3000 wing let you take pictures of yourself being a successful, toy innovator. Mark didn't do a very good job taking the picture of me.
I did a much better job at taking Marks.
View from our Ferris Wheel, would have been very romantic except you could see tons of large spiders crawling around on the outside. YUCK!
The Famous Bean or Cloud, call it what you like.
